At the beginning of 2023, I worked for Surfrider Foundation with the goal of helping them collect expert insights on the Ocean to present to candidates for the European elections.

The objective was to schedule as many calls as possible and gather as much feedback as possible from these experts. Their responses would then be used to produce a summary of the issues affecting our Oceans, so that measures could be taken at the European level.

My role, over the course of 2 months, was therefore to generate as many leads as possible, as quickly as possible, while maintaining a qualitative approach aligned with the NGO’s image.

I set up automated, multichannel outreach campaigns (email + LinkedIn) across 5 European countries (France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal), targeting all professionals and experts with knowledge of or a connection to the Ocean.

Here’s how I proceeded:

  1. Identifying all organizations (companies, associations, NGOs…) with activities related to the Ocean in each of the 5 countries: creating lists in a spreadsheet.
  2. Identifying all job titles and keywords that could help me find additional profiles not tied to those organizations.
  3. Running searches on LinkedIn Sales Navigator and extracting the lists with Evaboot.
  4. Enriching the data (emails), then preparing and launching outreach sequences via La Growth Machine.

A preview of one outreach sequence is shown below:
